Reverse engineering

Do you have a "functional" component but no CAD model of it? Would you like to efficiently optimize an existing component? Or would you like to reduce tool correction loops to a minimum?

MessX digitizes your component using computed tomography or optical scanning. Alternatively, you can send us your existing scan data (CT data, optical digitization data, etc.). Based on this data and a detailed consultation with you, we reconstruct the surface for you, delivering the results in a common CAD format (STEP, IGES, SAT).

Computed tomography enables complete digitization of your component. Currently, no other technology can digitize a component so completely, at such a high resolution.

Applications
Using the CT volume data produced by computed tomography, we can provide you with the component surface as an STL file, for instance. The STL data provides the foundation for reverse engineering processes, such as surface reconstruction or the complete reconstruction of your component. We can also implement a hybrid approach combining both methods.
